Planning a vacation or destination wedding at the Royalton Punta Cana?
I’ve often traveled for destination weddings at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana, however recently I’ve been watching them construct (right next door) the all-new Royalton Punta Cana Resort and Casino with each visit. This past trip I decided to wander over and take a self-guided tour now that it’s complete.
If you’re looking for things like modern architecture, infinity pool, beach-front bars and fountain-washed wedding gazebo then this may be the resort you’re looking for! What struck me right off was the sharp (almost square-ish) style of the hotel with more fun, Caribbean-ish bars closer to the beach. The Royalton Punta Cana wedding gazebo is a larger, uncovered platform right on Bavaro Beach. My favourite feature of the beach gazebo (besides the beautiful ocean backdrop naturally) is the elegant fountains right behind them – this will make for some amazing wedding photos as the Bride makes her way down the aisle!
UPDATE: I’m back from the Royalton and have included a little video below from the wedding I shot with Christina and Justin – amazingly fun time!! See their wedding photos here. If you’re planning your destination wedding here get in touch with me for my all-inclusive Destination Wedding Collection. I’ll fly anywhere for an I do.
I love travelling for weddings… the variety of the cultures, the resorts and most importantly all the different people you meet along the way. I’m looking my several trips to Punta Cana, and the Royalton! Side note: If you’re planning a visit to the Dominican Republic, be sure to check out the Punta Cana Party Boat – I experienced it first hand this past trip and I’d say it’s easily worth every penny!
