We’ll choose a setting that suits your family. I’ll guide you through the photos, with time for movement and the moments in between.

Enjoy your photographs.

Your finished images arrive in a private online gallery. Download the high-resolution files, share your favourites and order prints if you’d like.

About Me

I’m Vaughn.

Family photos should feel like you. I’ll give you some direction, but there’s room for exploring, laughing and whatever your kids have planned.

I’m based in Orillia and when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me cheering on the Maple Leafs (condolences appreciated), enjoying hard-shell tacos, or diving into documentaries and podcasts over morning coffee.

Before your family photos.

What should we wear for outdoor family photos?

Start with clothes you feel comfortable in, then choose colours that work together. Solid colours or simple patterns with fewer large logos help keep the attention on faces. Choose shoes you can walk in and layers that suit the season.

What if our children won’t sit still?

They don’t need to sit still for the whole session. There’s room to walk, explore and interact with you. I’ll give you direction along the way.

Will we get photos of everyone looking at the camera?

That’s part of the goal, alongside the candid moments. We’ll work with your children’s personalities rather than expect every moment to go to plan.

When is the best time for outdoor family photography?

I generally aim for the hours before sunset, but the setting and your children’s routine matter too. Share any nap or bedtime considerations when you reach out so we can discuss a sensible time for your family.

How long is the session, and what does it cost?

The family session is $495 CAD for up to 45 minutes outdoors in the Orillia area. It includes all the best edited high-resolution images in a private online gallery, with optional professional prints available to order.

Can we include grandparents or extended family?

Tell me the number of adults and children and how many households are joining. We can then discuss whether the standard session gives us enough time or whether you need extended coverage.

Do we receive digital images?

Yes. All the best images from your session are edited and delivered as high-resolution digital files through your private online gallery. Professional prints are available as an optional purchase.
