I got stung by Buzzfeed the other day when they posted a quick Vine with the most insanely delicious looking pizza puff thingy!  Off to Google I went in search of a recipe – little did I know how popular these little suckers were.  There were all kinds of recipes so it was just a matter of choosing.  In the end each recipe had 3 main similarities – the crescent roll dough, metal cupcake/muffin trays and your choice of pizza toppings.  The timing was perfect – our nephew was coming over for the night so we turned it into a Pizza-Tuesday Party!

Here’s how our Pizza Cupcake feast went down:

2 tubes Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 cup pizza sauce
1 pkg mini pepperoni slices
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 cup chopped red onions
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Pre-heat your oven to 375°F.  Lightly spray a regular-sized metal muffin/cupcake tray with cooking spray. Unroll dough and separate into individual triangles then press into the muffin cups. The dough rises so flatten it out before pressing into each cup.

Spoon about 2 teaspoons of sauce into each dough cup and pile on your toppings as you see fit!

Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
