A winter Burroughes Building wedding in Toronto, Ontario with Becky and Jamie

Originally Becky and Jamie had asked me to shoot their Muskoka wedding later in July however plans changed when they were given the amazing news that they were going to be parents! With some quick changes with venue we were on for a winter wedding at the historic Burroughes Building in downtown Toronto.

After prep photos at the Hyatt downdown and the later at the Four Seasons in Yorkville - we made out way down to the corner of Queen and I Do. Side note of cuteness, as the processional was taking place the flower girl slowed then stopped just in front of me on her way down aisle, "Cheeeeeese..." she says looking me straight in the eye expectantly. So adorable, and my assistant Josh snapped this quick shot...

ProTip: Becky and Jamie chose a late night poutine and grilled cheese feast... whoa easy does it! It was a huge hit, ooey-gooey goodness for thought future Brides!

HOW DID THEY MEET?

Becky: We met through friends out at a bar one night, Jamie will tell a version of me ignoring him all night, but clearly it worked.

WHAT DO THEY REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE?

Becky: Looking back I can tell he was very nervous, he spent most of the night fiddling with straws and coasters. I still have a bracelet he made with straws while he was talking.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM THEIR DAY:

Becky: Walking down the aisle, although there were 100 people in the room it felt like it was just him and me.

TIP FOR FUTURE BRIDES:

Definitely recommend getting a day of coordinator (KJ and Co), it takes all the little stresses away so you can just enjoy yourself.

COMMENTS OR TIPS ABOUT YOUR VENUE/VENDORS:

Burroughes was a great venue with lots of character, just be sure to give your guests time for arrival with the single elevator. Vaughn was amazing in capturing moments while being as subtle as possible. I can’t wait to see all the pictures!
