Living Water Resort Wedding in Collingwood
Jewish wedding at Living Water Resort, Bear Estates hosts beautiful in Collingwood, Ontario
I'm back at Bear Estates Living Water Resort - one of Collingwood's best wedding venues! As Terri and Jacob put it, they popped my Jewish wedding cherry letting me tag along on their day. With party-goers bouncing off and around me I had Welcome to the Jungle on repeat in my mind - what an experience!
Pro-Tip: When shooting the Horrah keep your elbows up, bend your knees and don't flinch - no fear!I was stoked heading up to Bear Estate at Cranberry Resort that morning - clouds were looming and I believe the weather report was 130% chance of rain. Those of you who follow me know this is my jam... ooey-gooey skies, big ole puddles and a couple up for any challenge.
Terri and Jacob were soldiers, they rolled with the schedule tweaks, off and on rain delays as well as all my ridiculousness.
To be honest - they more than soldiered through. With big ole smiles on their faces not even mother nature could pry away. But that's enough from me - let's hear how their day went in their own words...Getting ready photos at Living Water Resort Collingwood, Ontario
WHAT DID THEY LOVE MOST ABOUT THEIR WEDDING?
Terri: I absolutely loved spending the morning with my girls - my makeup artist has become a close friend and I love every moment of that time we spent together. My personal note from Jake choked me up - even though there were little to no tears my heart sank and he took my breath away. Our ceremony with the personalization from our Cantor was amazing, I felt that was a moment where things were the most real and the most love.Jake's speech! He is always so hard on himself when it comes to articulating words, and he NAILED IT ! The food and The Horrah were also absolutely incredible!! Way too much fun.Jacob: I loved the Ceremony, very heartfelt and awesome.... and the Horrah! Way too much fun. I was also so happy Terri and I were able to get some pictures at that point. I cannot wait to see those.
A COMMENT ABOUT THEIR NEW BRIDE/HUSBAND:
Terri: Beyond handsome - the suit, his smile and the way he held my hand during our ceremony. Anything that did or did not happen that day - he made none of that matter. I married my honestly and truly best friend. I could not be happier.Jacob:Gorgeous, radiant - beyond my expectations on our day!
A TIP FOR FUTURE BRIDES FROM TERRI-ANN:
WOW - as a 5 x bridesmaid in 5 years I could say so much - but my advice is simple: months, weeks and days before - take time to do stuff together. Date nights, dance parties, sleep in, take a weekend away. You can only control so much and at the end of the night - it'll just be the two of you, like it had been years, months or days before and now together forever. That is what should guide you through all the "hiccups" (and there will be hiccups) that come your way! Also - move at your own pace and let others guide you through your day - it helps if you just stop caring on the day of and just enjoy. You'll miss so much that happens if you sweat the small stuff!
A TIP FOR FUTURE GROOMS FROM JACOB:
Grooms should be chill and just go with the flow. But take the time to actually take it all in - it goes by fast (cliché I know) but truly you'll blink and it will be over.
WHAT MADE THEM CHOOSE LIVING WATER BEAR ESTATE WEDDING VENUE?
Location was perfect. The marina and water backdrops are so perfect. Accommodations for guests are so nice. And even though we couldn't use it - Blue Mountain is so close for those who also appreciate the Village.
HONEYMOON PLANS?
Hawaii - Maui and Oahu. Relaxation then Adventure!
