The Winery as a Wedding Venue
Located just off Hwy 400 near Newmarket, Holland Marsh Winery is centrally located for local guests and close enough to Newmarket hotels for those out-of-towners (and just a quick zip down Hwy 400 for moi).
Imagine your guests overlooking a large vineyard that disappears into the sunset while mingling over a glass of wine on the outdoor terrace. While they're enjoying the view, you and your bridal party are doing the same walking around the beautiful grounds for your wedding photos. Backdrops like the vineyard, gazebo, pond and old rustic shack provide oodles of photo opportunities.
First Look
The main reception hall (I believe they all it the Clubhouse) has a very woodsy, rustic feel. It accommodates approx. 200 guests and has a spectacular view of the sun as it sets over the horizon. I've had the chance to shoot some weddings here and each time I'm there there's something new and interesting to shoot. If you haven't stopped by for a look, I certainly recommend checking it out.
