My followers know I love meshing my camera with my hockey passion however when I met Tracey I had an entirely new creative idea come about. Tracey King is the owner of Tapps Performing Arts in Orillia, Ontario and I've gotten to know her over the past year with her son playing lacrosse with my nephew and her hiring me to do some creative hockey shots of her son and daughter last year.
When she asked if I was interested in doing some dance photography at her studio I was all over it. But in the same spirit as I approach my other sports photos, I wanted to shine light on the artistic side of dance photos. Tracey and her amazingly talented dancers were all-in and game for any mess we could make - and oh what a mess we made!

RAELAN: Raelan has been dancing since the age of 6. He started out in Hip hop - walked off the stage at his first recital and said "when can I compete?". Raelan trains in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary - but excels in Tumbling and Tap. Raelan has traveled all over North America and has competed for the past 5 years with the Canada National Tap Team at the World Dance Championships where he has proudly brought home the Silver medals for our country.This year he says he is bringing home the Gold! Raelan had won numerous titles and scholarships.

HANNA: Hanna started dancing at the age of 5. Her natural athletic ability made her strong in Jazz, Acro and Contemporary. Hanna has traveled all over Canada and the USA and has won numerous titles and cash scholarships with her competition groups.
SAMMIE: Sammie started dancing at the age of 2. At this tender age you could see her passion and love for this art. Sammie has trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acro. Sammie's passion has been noticed and won her many titles in Canada and the USA such as Miss Starquest, Miss Luv 2 Dance and many many more. Sammie is performing in a professional show called the Oddities with some of Canada's elite dancers.
EMMA: Emma started dance at the age of 3. Her tremendous work ethic has made her into a beautiful ballerina! Emma has traveled all over Canada and the USA competing and winning titles and scholarships. Emma trains in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Acro.
