Kristy and Michael's Summer wedding
one of my first weddings, it’s fun to look back on these early years
Kristy and Michael's Belcroft Estates barn wedding was a photographer's dream, like diving into Mr. Dressup’s tickle trunk of treasures. Everywhere you turned, there was distressed wood, burlap, and vintage props that would have the Canadian Pickers guys in awe. The couple invited their loved ones to step back in time - Belcroft style.
You meet all kinds of people shooting weddings, but Kristy and Michael took things to another level with their kindness and laid-back nature. On top of that, I had been counting down the days to photograph at Belcroft Estates Tree Farm in Gilford, Ontario—an absolutely stunning rustic barn venue. And to make it even better, my daughter was shooting alongside me again for the day!

The day wasn't without its trials however, I mean shooting at a venue jammed to the rafters with cool props and vintagy-rusticy barn stuff isn't easy when there's only 24hrs in a day. Having such ridiculously amazing food via Cabral Catering wasn't slowing the clock either - course after course had us balancing plates over the edge of the table begging for a game of flip-plate. Wasn't easy putting together the reception slideshow with my left hand and shoveling each course with my right but it did provide some serious entertainment for my daughter.
I have to send a big thank you to Christina and Beth at the Belcroft for letting us run loose all over the grounds. It's great walking into a venue and having complete support from staff.
Thanks so much for letting us be part of your day you two, it was our sincerest pleasure to tell your story!
